Natural Healing Center opened their second SLO County cannabis dispensary in Morro Bay.

The new dispensary is located in the heart of downtown Morro Bay on 495 Morro Bay Blvd. The classy, modern and newly remodeled space will feature more than 1,500 items for sale from flower to concentrates to edibles and more. According to their press release, Natural Healing Center also provides “medically focused, non-psychoactive products that don’t give the traditional ‘high’ that cannabis is known for to suit customers of all consumption needs,”

Natural Healing Center officially opened on April 12 and celebrated with a Morro Bay Chamber-sponsored ribbon-cutting ceremony. This is a homecoming event for co-owner and founder Helios Dayspring, a Central Coast born and raised cannabis entrepreneur who graduated Morro Bay High School.

“Part of NHC’s vision as a company is operating high-end, world-class dispensaries that provide a comfortable and classy atmosphere and friendly service,” Natural Healing Center said in the release. NHC’s first location is in Grover Beach, which opened in mid-2018. In addition to their Lemoore location, the business is planning to open two more storefronts in San Luis Obispo and Turlock, California this year. They are also the second Morro Bay dispensary to open after Perfect Union launched in October 2020.

On opening day, TOAST toured the facility. Entering through a sophisticated and secure entryway, customers are led to a spacious and wide product counter that allows customers to explore and ask the friendly budtenders questions about their products. Depending on what the customer is interested in, a budtender will escort customers to an expanded area of inventory. The best way to describe the Natural Healing Center shopping experience is that it feels like walking into a jewelry store on the Sunset Strip, but without the traffic buzzing around and within a laid-back seaside town. The transaction was seamless and staff was eager to help. Morro Bay residents will appreciate the facility for its safe and minimalist approach to cannabis retail. It’s a noticeable departure from the shady dispensary stereotype that’s been portrayed by medicinal and recreational marijuana access critics. In fact, Natural Healing Center made significant investments in upgrading one of the town’s older storefronts, which was previously occupied by ASAP Reprographics.
